FLYERS DROP SECOND IN A ROW - VITO'S WIN 3 - 1

The Saint John Vito's carried on from where they left off at the Monctonian, defeating the Moncton Flyers 3 - 1 on Saturday.  Alexander Myatt had another strong game as the Vito's rolled to the win. Luke Patterson finally beat Myatt after 110 minutes of shutout goaltending dating back to the Monctonian final. The win gives the Vito's a share of first place in the NBPEI league.  The Flyers have two games in hand.

FLYERS FALL TO KNIGHTS IN OT - PLAY VITO'S SATURDAY

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers were defeated by the host Charlottetown Knights in overtime on Friday by a score of 3 - 2. Zach Wheeler scored twice to give the Flyers a 2 - 1 lead but the Knights scored a shorthanded goal with just over a minute to play to tie it and then scored in OT for the two points. Xavier Farrah took the loss in goal, stopping 22 shots. On Saturday, the Flyers take on their rival Saint John Vito's (13-4-1, 27 pts).  Gametime is 7:30 pm at the Superior Propane Centre.

PATTERSON SCORES IN OT AS FLYERS DOWN VITO'S

Luke Patterson scored thirty seconds into overtime as the Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers downed the Saint John Vito's 3 - 2 at Quispamsis on Friday. Austin Sanchez tied the game with 8 minutes left in the third to set the stage for the Flyers' captain. Jonah Leard also scored while Sam LeBlanc made 17 saves for the win in goal.

FLYERS SWEEP WEEKEND GAMES

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers defeated the Northern Moose 4 - 3 on Saturday.  Preston Lounsbury scored the game winner with just over a minute to play to give the Flyers the win.  The goal was Lounsbury's second of the night.  Cam White and Noah Matulu also scored while Phil Collette notched two assists.  Xavier Farrah made 17 saves for the win in goal. On Friday, the Flyers downed the Kensington Wild 9 - 1.  Cam White and Spencer Gill led the attack with two goals each.  Gill added an assist for a three point night.  Phil Collette had a goal and three assists while Cooper Cormier, Preston Lounsbury and Zach Wheeler each had a goal and an assist.  Thomas Hendrickson also scored.  Sam LeBlanc stopped 15 shots for the win.

FORMER FLYERS JUSTIN GENDRON AND DYLAN MACKINNON NAMED TO U 17 TEAM CANADA

Hockey Canada has named two former Flyers to the teams competing in the Capital City Challenge at the end of the month.  Forward Justin Gendron and defenseman Dylan MacKinnon will don the Team Canada jerseys in the series.

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers play two games this weekend. On Friday, the Flyers travel to Kensington to take on the Wild.  Game time is 7:30. On Saturday the Flyers host the Northen Moose in a 7:30 start.

NADEAU LEADS FLYERS TO WIN

Loic Nadeau answered the bell for the Moncton Rallye Motor Nissan Flyers and led the team to a 5 - 1 win over the Northern Moose Sunday. Nadeau stopped 18 shots to record the victor y.The Flyers swept the weekend series at the League showcase.   Preston Lounsbury scored twice and added an assist while Noah Matulu also recorded a three point game, notching a goal and two helpers. Luke Patterson and Phil Collette also scored.

SAM LEBLANC SHUTS OUT CAPS IN SHOWCASE EVENT

Sam LeBlanc stopped all 23 shots as the Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers shut out the Fredericton Caps 3 - 0 in game one of the League Showcase in Bathurst on Saturday. Preston Lounsbury scored twice and Austin Sanchez notched a single for the first-place Flyers.  Noah Matulu chipped in with two assists. The Flyers play the Northern Moose on Sunday.

FLYERS PLAY TWO IN LEAGUE SHOWCASE IN BATHURST THIS WEEKEND

The first place Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers take part in the NBPEI League showcase this weekend in Bathurst. The Flyers face the Fredericton Caps Saturday morning at 10:30.  On Sunday, the Flyers take on the host Northern Moose in 3:30 start. All games are at the KC Irving Regional Centre.

MATULU SCORES TWO AS FLYERS DEFEAT KNIGHTS

Noah Matulu scored twice as the Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers defeated the Charlottetown Knights 5 - 2 on Saturday. Matulu broke a 2 - 2 tie with his first of the night and then added an empty net goal to secure the victory.   Conrad Allen, Luke Patterson, and Phil Collette also scored. Xavier Farrah stopped 22 shots for the win in goal.

Brandon Cormier scored twice to lead the Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers to a 5 - 1 win over the Northern Moose on Friday.  Luke Patterson and Jonah Leard scored a goal and an assist.  Justin Finnigan also scored and Cooper Cormier added two assists. Samuel LeBlanc remained undefeated stopping 11 shots.

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers defeated the Kensington Wild by a score of 13 - 0 on Friday.  The Flyers were led by Luke Patterson and Preston Lounsbury who each scored three goals and an assist.  Zach Wheeler had two goals and an assist while Jonah Leard notched two goals.  Joseph Finnigan, Brandon Cormier, and Austin Sanchez also scored.  Noah Matulu and Jeremie Richard each added three assists. Sam LeBlanc picked up the shutout for his fourth win of the season. The Flyers host the Saint John Vito's Saturday night.

TWO HOME GAMES HIGHLIGHT WEEKEND PLAY

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers play two home games this weekend as they look to extend their unbeaten streak. On Friday the Flyers (6-0-0, 12 points) host the Kensington Wild (1-2-0, 2 points) in a 7:30 start at the Superior Propane Centre. On Friday, provincial rivals Saint John Vito's travel to Moncton to do battle with the Flyers.  The Vito's are tied for second place in the NBPEI U18 League with a record of  3-3-0, for 6 points.

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers defeated the Northern Moose 9 - 2 in Bathurst on Sunday.  Preston Lounsbury continued his hot streak with four assists giving him a seven point weekend.  Phil Collette had a goal and two assists for his second consecutive three point game.  Noah Matulu and Jeremie Richard each had a goal and an assist while Thomas Hendrickson, Zach Wheeler, Luke Patterson, Brandon Cormer, Joseph Finnigan, and Spencer Gill also scored. Xavier Farrah picked up his third win of the season in goal.

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers defeated the Kensington Wild 10 - 1 on Saturday.  Preston Lounsbury scored three goals and Jeremie Richard had two goals and two assists to lead the Flyers' attack.  Noah Matulu and Zachary Wheeler each added a goal and an assist and Jack Martin, Jonah Leard, and Cooper Cormier also scored.  Marco Martin, Spencer Gill, Luke Patterson, and Phil Collette all notched three assists.  Samuel Leblanc stopped 15 shots to notch his third win of the season.

FLYERS EXPLODE IN THE THIRD PERIOD TO STAY UNDEFEATED

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers scored four third period goals to defeat the Fredericton Caps 4 - 2 on Sunday in Fredericton.  Trailing 1 - 0 after two periods, the Flyers got goals from Preston Lounsbury, Luke Patterson, Spencer Gill, and Jack Martin to secure the win.  Xavier Farrah stopped 19 shots for the win.

Phil Collette notched a goal and an assist to lead the Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers to a 4 - 2 home victory over the Fredericton Caps Saturday.  The Flyers improved to 3 - 0 on the season.  Luke Patterson scored his 4th goal of the season while Noah Matulu and Jeremie Richard also scored.  Sam LeBlanc stopped 23 shots to record the win in goal.

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers look to remain undefeated as they face the Fredericton Caps in a home and home this weekend.  The Flyers open their home schedule on Saturday as they host the Caps in a 7:30 start at the Superior Propane Centre.  On Sunday, they travel to Fredericton for a return match.  Gametime is 3 pm.

PATTERSON LEADS COMEBACK WIN - FLYERS START 2 - 0

Captain Luke Patterson scored two goals and assisted on a third as the Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers rallied from a two goal deficit to defeat the Charlottetown Knights 3 - 2 in Charlottetown on Saturday afternoon.  The Flyers found themselves down 2 - 0 but powerplay goals by Patterson and Phil Collette tied the game with 10 minutes remaining in the third.  Patterson then followed up on his own rebound and scored the winner with just under 6 minutes left.  Xavier Farrah notched the win in goal.

FLYERS OPEN SEASON WITH SHUTOUT VICTORY

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers opened their 2021/22 season with an impressive 6 - 0 whitewash of the Saint John Vitos in Quispamsis on Friday.  The Flyers' Samuel LeBlanc stopped all 26 shots directed at him to record the shutout.  The Flyers were led by Austin Sanchez who notched two goals.  Marco Martin had a goal and an assist while Zach Wheeler, Luke Patterson, and Phil Collette also scored.  Jack Martin and Spencer Gill each added two assists. Moncton travels to Charlottetown Saturday to take on the Knights in a 4 pm start.

FLYERS UNDEFEATED AT JAMBOREE

The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers had a successful weekend jamboree as they finished with a 4 - 0 record.  The Flyers defeated the Northern Moose 4 - 1 in their opening game Saturday before downing the Kensington Wild 7 - 1.  On Sunday, they defeated Saint John Vito's 4 - 1 and the Charlottetown Knights  4 - 0.
